Connect with Employers
The Career Services Office offers many networking opportunities and events throughout the year. These include the following:
Fall Career Expo: Largest recruiting event throughout the year. The Fall Career Expo includes 75-100 employers regularly in attendance and offers the greatest exposure to meet with employers eager to hire HFC students and graduates.
Targeted Job Fairs: Fall and Winter semesters. The Career Services Office sets up and runs a variety of job fairs for specific programs of study including Health Careers, Nursing, Criminal Justice, Business and Computer Technology Division, and much more. Check the electronic screens on campus, your hawkmail, and the Job Leads website (announcements section) for current events.
Networking and one-on-one events: The Career Services Office works to provide students with opportunities to networking with potential employers in a variety of settings. This could be hosting a networking event, or providing contacts for a student who wishes to do an Informational Interviews. (This is very different from the typical interview. The purpose of an Informational Interview is to gather information about a position/career. See attachment below.)
